Overview of FKIP

The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) has a mission, vision and responsibility in realizing education to improve teacher professionalism and skills through an open and distance higher education system. Because of this mission, we always anticipate various developments and advances in education, especially in the field of teacher qualifications. The innovation dynamics that we offer are in line with the Indonesian Government's policy regarding quality standards and teacher qualifications through the issuance of Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System and Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers. This affects the fulfillment of the undergraduate qualification target with a Bachelor's qualification for teachers until 2015.

FKIP UT is a center for world-quality open and distance higher education in the fields of Teacher Training and Education.

FKIP Mission

1. Providing world quality education that can reach all levels of society; based on a culture of independent learning;

2. Carrying out research and development in science and technology as well as in the field of distance education that is sustainable and of world quality;

3. Carrying out community service to empower and improve community welfare through the application of science and technology; And

4. Develop a culture of lifelong learning.

Tujuan FKIP

To realize the stated mission, FKIP-UT aims to:

1. Providing access to world-quality higher education for elementary school educators through the implementation of various PTTJJ programs.

2. Produce professional elementary school educators who are able to take part globally.

3. Expanding access to community participation in sustainable education in order to create a knowledge-based society.

4. Produce academic products in the fields of elementary school education and science, as well as distance learning.

5. Improving the quality and quantity of research and development in the fields of education and science in elementary school and distance learning.

6. Utilize and disseminate the results of studies in the educational and scientific fields of elementary school and distance learning.

7. Increase partnerships and cross-cultural cooperation networks to strengthen national unity and unity.
