About FKIP

The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Terbuka (FKIP UT) is one of the important components of the largest open and distance education institution in Indonesia. FKIP UT has a central role in developing and providing educational and training programs in the field of education and educational science for prospective teachers, educators, and anyone interested in developing knowledge in the field of education.

As part of UT, FKIP offers a variety of study programs that cover various aspects of education, from early childhood education, basic education, to secondary education. These programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals who want to develop their careers in education, without having to physically attend lectures. This approach allows students to study according to their own schedule, making it very suitable for those who have other commitments such as work or family responsibilities. Currently, FKIP UT has 12 study programs, namely the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program, Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Mathematics Education Study Program, Physics Education Study Program, Biology Education Study Program, Chemistry Education Study Program, Economics Education Study Program, Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program, Indonesian Language Education Study Program, English Language Education Study Program, Educational Technology Study Program, and Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG).

Overall, FKIP UT has a crucial role in facilitating quality education for individuals with limited access or for those who want to develop a career in education. With the open and distance approach adopted, FKIP UT helps bridge the gap in access to education and makes a real contribution to the development of education in Indonesia.
