LIP KMN 2024: National Education Innovation Event Ready to Produce Generation of Creative Educators

South Tangerang, October 15, 2024 – The Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FKIP) Universitas Terbuka has successfully held the final round of the 2024 National Student Learning Innovation and Creativity Competition (LIP KMN). LIP KMN is a prestigious annual event for students from various universities to showcase their creativity and innovation in various fields, including education, technology, and art.

This year, LIP KMN 2024 features 16 competition categories, including: microteaching, innovative learning/assessment, dance, music and learning, poetry musicalization, Fun science, Edugames, teacherpreneur, scientific articles, photography in learning, go green for learning, local content learning, FKIP tagline, educational TikTok, teach tuber, learning applications and digital preaching. Participants from all over Indonesia competed in creating creative solutions that are relevant to the development of today’s education world.

The final round of LIP KMN 2024 was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Terbuka, Prof. Dr. Ucu Rahayu, M.Sc. In his speech, he appreciated the enthusiasm and creativity of the participants who had gone through various stages of selection, starting from administrative selection to assessment of the substance of the work. “This event is an important forum for students to develop innovative and collaborative ideas in the world of education. I hope that LIP KMN 2024 can be an inspiration for the future generation of educators,” said Prof. Ucu.

On the same occasion, the Chairperson of the 2024 LIP KMN Committee, Dr. Mestika Sekarwinahyu, M.Pd., also expressed her pride in the enthusiasm of the participants. She emphasized that LIP KMN is not only a competition event, but also a place to share ideas and concepts that have the potential to have a positive impact on national education. “We hope that the works produced can contribute to better educational innovation,” she said.

This year, LIP KMN managed to attract the interest of 308 participants from various universities. After going through a strict selection process, 74 finalists made it to the final round. The finalists presented their work in front of a panel of judges consisting of leading academics and education practitioners. The assessment was based on creativity, relevance, and the potential impact of the work presented.

Several competition categories such as Micro Teaching and Learning Applications are the main attractions because they highlight students’ abilities in utilizing technology to create interactive and interesting learning methods. Other categories such as Digital Da’wah and Learning Photography showcase students’ creativity in utilizing digital media to convey educational messages.

LIP KMN 2024 is also an opportunity for students to network and exchange experiences. Finalists not only compete but also collaborate and learn from each other, enriching their perspectives in creating innovations that are beneficial to the world of education. This is in line with the main theme of LIP KMN 2024, namely “Towards a Generation of Educators Who Are Creative and Innovative Without Limits.”

The winners of LIP KMN 2024 will be announced at the peak of the 16th National Teacher Scientific Meeting which will be held on November 23, 2024. This event is expected to be an important momentum for students to continue to develop their creativity and innovation.

With high enthusiasm and support from various parties, LIP KMN 2024 is expected to continue to be an event that produces young innovators in the field of education. The finalists are also expected to be an inspiration for other students to continue to innovate and make real contributions to the world of education.
